Today is International Indigenous Peoples Day. http://mcd.gob.gt/dia-nacional-e-internacional-de-los-pueblos-indigenas/ Fundacion Familia Maya ( FundaMaya) celebrates the culture and upholds the dignity of Indigenous people every day. Our organization is nearly 100 % percent Indigenous Guatemalan Maya. FundaMaya since we started 15 years ago has had the mission to make education available and possible for indigenous students and with our other programs to provide a hand up for the Maya families that we work with.
We are incredibly proud of our talented Board and team and all that they have accomplished to help our communities.
Our board and our staff demonstrate to the world what indigenous people can do when they have the opportunity to work in their own communities. Vamos Adelante! (let's go forward!)
